Surveys

Historically, ASFONZ has conducted extensive surveys of stand-alone workplace super schemes (corporate and industry schemes) to ascertain industry benchmarks in areas such as member eligibility and benefit design, and best practice in areas of investment choice and scheme governance.   In 2003 ASFONZ undertook a broadly similar survey of the master trust products available to new Zealand employers.   ASFONZ members can view the results of these past surveys by clicking on the Survey Results heading in the left menu on this page.

While the introduction of KiwiSaver has imposed a one size fits all approach for many employers, for those desiring an approach that reaches beyond Kiwisaver the ASFONZ surveys offers a unique look at what is happening across a selection of New Zealand employers.  

In 2008 ASFONZ will once again be conducting surveys of stand-alone and master trust products.   In particular the 2008 Survey will research how employers with existing workplace savings arrangements have coped with the introduction and success of KiwiSaver.   They will also cover  the usual areas of memberr choice, benefit design, investment choice and goverance.

ASFONZ will unveil the key findings from the 2008 Survey at ASFONZ 2008 - Sustainable Workplace Savings which is its national Conference taking place on 28th & 29th August at SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland.
