Entry to the ASFONZ Communication Awards is open all types of workplace superannuation scheme provider (corporate or industry superannuation schemes, master trust arrangements, and KiwiSaver products).  

You don’t have to be a member of ASFONZ to enter the Communication Awards.   ASFONZ members may enter for free while there is a small charge to non-members.

Topics that may be submitted in 2008 can include, but are not limited to, communication on:

  • The launch of a KiwiSaver Scheme,
  • Changes in the investment choices offered to members,
  • Trust Deed changes to become a Complying Scheme or ‘bolt-on’ a KiwiSaver section,
  • Advice of benefit changes for members,
  • The combined "package" of the Annual Report & Members' Benefit Statement, or
  • any other subject relating to your Superannuation Scheme.
All entries will be considered for the ASFONZ Excellence in Communication Award.

Covering any form of communication to members or prospective members over the year 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008, the awards recognise the nature of the scheme and the resources the scheme has available so the most expensively produced material may not necessarily be the winner.

Once again in 2008 we are asking all entrants to email us a PDF version of their entry, as we intend to publish the winning entries on our website.    This is in keeping with the purpose of the Communication Awards:  to promote excellence and innovation in communications and to let others see what is considered by our judges to be best practice.
